At the end of the 1970's I began my career as an electrical engineer at ASEA AB. During this time I gained substantial insight in foreign countries through positions in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa.
After returning to Sweden, I studied law at Uppsala University. Upon receipt of my law degree I embarked upon my legal career as an associate with a law firm, The Regional Rent and Tenancies Tribunal in Stockholm, court clerk and at the Contract Department at the Swedish Agency for Civil Emergency Planning.
A few years later I again had the opportunity to work abroad, this time in the USA. I then practiced law with lawyers at the Law Firm Haight, Gardner, Poor & Havens in New York and Houston.
When I returned to Sweden I continued to practice at a Law Firm engaged in business law from 1991 to 1994. Since then I have been practicing law as an Advokat (member of the Swedish Bar Association) in my own firm Anders Lönnquist Advokatbyrå AB.
